George the Serial Killer # 9457
This morning, a rabbit. He's very pleased with himself and has tried to bury it to go back to later. He is currently lying flat on his back with his paws in the air.

George the Serial Killer #1836

Well, this week George caught and ate a squirrel. We also found a little swallow. And that's on top of the mole he brought in last week (we managed to save that. Have you ever seen a mole? They're hilarious.) and that's on top of the couple or so mice/shrews/voles he has every day. He barely eats his Felix these days..

My cat is a serial killer

Twice in two nights - George has brought in a bat - pipistrelle we think. So cute... Paul takes them outside so hopefully they have survived. These are added to the list - weasel, squirrel, rabbits, mice, shrews, voles, blue tit, great tit, bullfinch, song thrush, blackbird, pigeon, dove, wren... every night we are woken by the crunching of bones and every morning we have to look where we are putting our feet to avoid various entrails. And he looks as though butter wouldn't melt in his mouth...

Paul's new camera lens
That's it, I am officially a photography widow - Paul's latest arrival is a new lens for his Nikon SLR, an 180mm sigma macro which takes the most amazing close ups. I won't see him for dust.

great news for the great tit

Tiggywinkles tells me that the great tit we took in (from the clutches of George) has survived and indeed was released. Phew.

not that anyone reads this but you might want to know who gorgeporgefurrytrousers is

how to alienate male readers.. here is a picture of himself, George, aka georgeporgefurrytrousersharibolonghurst, seen here on the right, hangin' out on the birdtable (also known as George's Kebab Shop). We love him very much.
We also love Lulu, aka Louise, Pooloo Bagpipes, Sticks, seen here in the left doing her favourite occupation, sleeping on a cushion outside.
