Belated review of Sex and the City the movie

Went with stepdaughter Clare for the first showing last Wednesday - oh so fabulous. Just what I expected and hoped for - frills, fashion, frivolity and Manolos. So enjoyable I wanted to watch it all over again straight away. Will be watched many, many times in the future. But.... HATED Carrie's Vivienne Westwood wedding dress ensemble with her Cruella de Ville make up and that bird thing in her hair. I know it was meant to be extreme, but...

Enjoying Pal Joey, I love Frank Sinatra's movies, but Kim Novak is hopelessly miscast as a sensitive nightclub dancer. Rita Hayworth, on the other hand is marvellous. Sinatra, as Joey, treats the "dame like a lady and the lady like a dame"...

Breakfast On Pluto

What a film. I am going to put money on Cillian Murphy winning an oscar. Also just seen him in 28 Days Later, and the Wind That Shakes The Barley. 28 was really good (if you like that kind of thing) and WTSTB superb.
